GUDMUNDSON is the stage name of multi-talented artist and musician Smari Gudmundsson.
At an early age, Smari began writing music and has been a member of various musical groups through the years, most prominently Klassart. The band has released three albums which all include songs that have topped the music charts in Iceland.
GUDMUNDSON has written a musical comedy which artistically connected his addiction, the road to recovery and how it all connects with the flow of energy in the universe. The musical was highly praised with fully sold out encore performances and was selected as The Most Interesting Amateur Show by the National Theater. GUDMUNDSON has also been writing music for short films and his first solo album, Zombielove, is debuting soon.
GUDMUNDSON aspires to sound sincere and natural in his music but also with futuristic vibe. His influences are, to name a few; Ennio Morricone, John Carpenter, Vangelis, Jean Michael Jarre, Todd Terje, Lindström, Beck and the Beatles.
GUDMUNDSON er listamannsnafn Smára Guðmundssonar. Smári hefur gefið út tónlist frá árinu 2000 og verið í ýmsum hljómsveitum en er þekktastur fyrir að vera einn af systkinunum í Klassart.
